Make up, hair & brows by Theresa Baca

Bio

Theresa Baca is a member of a small but elite group of people living in Los Angeles – an actual native born Angelina! She credits her father with passing on his innate artistic ability to her but when it comes to her inspiration for makeup and hair .. that’s all from her mother.

Theresa was bitten by the beauty bug at an early age – as a child she would sit enamored for hours watching as her mother transformed herself into a glamorous beauty with the help of eye liner, lipstick, powder and mascara. By the tender age of twelve she was honing her skills on classmates and friends , perfecting and grooming their brows and at sixteen she attended beauty school during her summer vacations instead of camp!

As soon as she graduated high school she enrolled in a beauty college to perfect her home grown skills and acquire her estheticians license. Armed with this, she fortuitously assisted top makeup artist Carol Shaw of Lorac who was so impressed with her that she recommended her to legendary hair artist Jose Eber. Theresa assisted Jose in his world renowned Beverly Hills salon and worked in tandem with him on his many guest appearances on talk shows performing countless makeovers. All of this served her well in her pursuit of a successful independent make up career and she left Jose when the timing was right to pursue an opportunity to work in the makeup department of a movie shot on location in Greece.

After several years away from the beauty biz, the call of the makeup siren was strong and brought her back to her native Los Angeles where she has worked alongside some of the greats – Kathy Jeung, Danillo, Oribe and the late and great Paul Starr.

She has worked in and is currently working in the media of television, Print.

Her philosophy is simple – “Everyone is uniquely beautiful – I merely accentuate it.”
